A Little Ditty about Our Young Adult Group

As a young adult, where were you on a typical Friday night?

Anywhere! These young adults could literally be anywhere doing almost anything, but they aren’t. They are building a strong community that is centered around Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ only. Everything has to flow from that platform.

For me, this group of young people has been one of the biggest, and greatest blessings since we landed in Texas because we specifically called on God to bring this group together. We were specific and cried out to Him regularly. And of course He did what only He could do because we are just not capable enough.

We’ve watched Him bring this group together from the north, south, east and west; young people from all over. Everyone of them brings something unique and needed. It’s pretty cool to see.

Whether you recognize it or not, we are living in the last days. Everything has fallen into place and these, if you are a believer, are exciting times.

1 Peter 2:9

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

What a privilege to be called to be living in these days. What an honor to be picked to be living this side of history. The Bible speaks of a remnant and we have a good chunk of that remnant in this group. To see young people worshipping God and digging in the Scriptures to know Him better a d deeper building that stronger relationship is nothing short of exhilarating.

In a time when people are inward focused, and lovers of themselves we are witnessing the very opposite. The young adults know how to love each other well and fight the good fight not only dor themselves but each other.

Hearts for Jesus. Lives reflecting the Word of God. Living counter to the culture. I love everything about this growing group.

We were missing about a dozen folks but just take a look at what God is doing. How can anyone say He’s not on the move!
