We are watching from a very limited scope, the horrific fallout from probably, the worst decision made by an administration in the history of our nation. And this is only the beginning.
I don’t believe for a moment that over 10,000 folks have been evacuated and not for a moment do I believe only 1,500 are left. And, there is no way any official can convince me that there are folks that aren’t sure if they want to stay or leave. We know too much and are too smart to believe this narrative.
An administration that has so cowardly turned their back on an ally is that same administration who will turn their back on every other so called ally we claim to have. All in due time.
Should we expect otherwise? This is the same administration that has turned their back on the freedoms of the people. Their people! Let’s get this straight, this administration is not for the people or by the people. We are no longer a free nation; that went away long ago. We are entering a communist regime. Laugh? Well, just stay tuned.
Over 7,000 miles away, there are hundreds, thousands of men, women, and children who were once deemed precious cargo to the United States of America. They rested in peace, believing this superpower nation they called ally and friend would protect this fragile people. Parents told their children not to worry, life would not be lost and blood would not be shed. They could close their eyes and sleep peacefully at night because America was on their side.
Abandoned. Forsaken. Deserted. Discarded. Words that seem contrary to any response from this once powerful nation are now the very definition. A president who turned his back and walked away from his own citizens who simply wanted answers to how and why this could happen, is not a leader but a coward dressed in patriotic clothing.
People are dying by the sword and the ground is being soiled and stained with innocent blood. Our leadership has closed their eyes to these people. They are mere numbers. No longer are they fathers and mothers, pastors, missionaries, workers, and children, no they are simply casualties, fallout to a nation that no longer sees.
We live in a world where we have the ability to close our eyes and not see. We can choose to turn off the news, unplug, and escape from reality at any time. We don’t have to think about what is happening an ocean away. We aren’t living in their nightmare. But there is One who always sees and He sees everyone of us at all times.
El Roi, the God who sees is watching from His throne and He sees every man, woman, and child fighting, suffering and dying. He never turns a blind eye and He never abandons His children, even when everyone else has walked away.
Many people will escape, and many more will die, but God sees them all. Every tear that is shed is held tightly to His chest. Every mother that screams for her murdered child and every father that sacrifices his life for his family is seen by El Roi, the God who sees. Nothing escapes His view. There are no blinds spots that people fall into where they go unseen, unheard or are discarded.
As the chaos and madness continues, and the outcome remains unknown, the only power and hope for these people is the power that comes on bended knee.
Let us not be a people that go about our day and life being numb to this horrendous situation. Let us be a people that petition the throne of Jesus Christ for mercy and grace for those who have fallen victim, and are suffering at the hands of enemies. Let us lay down at the feet of Jesus seeking justice for those who paved the way for this injustice. Let us trust in faith that He, almighty God is still on the throne, and He sees, always and forever, He sees.
