Well, I finally made it to my new home! The last few days were very long and treacherous. I decided to drive through Kansas so I could kick that off my 50 state bucket list. Kansas was covered in snow with a high of 13°. I had to learn really quick how to drive through the slush and ice; it was very terrifying! My goal was to make it to Oklahoma City that same day but I stopped in Wichita. Kansas was OK I’m in no hurry to go back. My drive through Oklahoma was awesome. I found Oklahoma to be utterly beautiful. I was not expecting such beauty not sure why because it is a gorgeous state.
I crossed the state line and was bit emotional. I’ve been to Texas many times but this time crossing the state line and saying “I’m going home” got me all choked up. Home, for now, takes a whole new meaning. I started missing the mountains, hills ocean, family, friends all of it…
Change is hard and letting go is harder. But I believe that Esther 4:14 “Perhaps you were created for such a time as this” applies to me for this very time and season….and I’m ready; I’m home.
Got to my new home with my husband waiting for me. This is it!! First order of business, go buy a flag! We owned a condo for 20 years and never had the opportunity to wave our flag….. we do now!!
