It is hard to believe that in less than a week we will be having the grand opening of Redemption Point Alliance Church! It has been a long journey to get to this day; one that has been filled with a mixed bag of emotions for everyone. But, through it all, it is well!
We arrived at Vintage Church in February 2019 to a small group of committed, dedicated, loyal, hardworking, God fearing, Jesus loving people who were and are, filled with kindness, compassion, hearts to serve and grit – these have been the pillars.
The journey from all corners is pretty downright amazing with the fingerprints of God all over the story. To watch things unfold and come together has only confirmed the divine orchestration of God’s plan. I cannot speak for the pillars of this church, but for us, God took us to the very end of ourselves, our abilities, and our flesh so that there, He could show us His glory on His platform and in His timing.
As we began moving forward, Pastor Lindsey laid out the vision and mission that God had given him for His church, and our calling to bring Jesus to the city of McKinney. We began having monthly vision casting meetings with the church and things quickly began to change.
Renaming the church was not easy but one Pastor Lindsey – through God’s leading – felt necessary. After many weeks of prayer and fasting, Redemption Point Alliance Church was born through the legacy of Vintage Church, and a new adventure begun.
The days, weeks and months have been a season of ongoing, continual change which is never easy, in fact, it has been downright hard, and even painful, but necessary to accomplish the vision and mission of Redemption Point. This is a new season.
To say the church has been blessed financially would be an understatement, we have been abundantly blessed and supported in ways that only God can do. So, with His provision, we began phase 1 of the remodeling of the church. The outside of the building had been painted and a new sign will be installed. The 4000 square foot sanctuary has been painted and new light fixtures have been replaced making it bright and beautiful. Our 3000 square foot foyer area has been repainted, the storefront windows torn out, window tint on our beautiful windows is being added, a new front door, and, new flooring is being laid. God is so awesome! To think of how faithful God has been brings me to tears. We will be working on the youth room, children’s room, conference rooms and offices in the future.
The concrete slab of the foyer was stripped and prepared for the new flooring. This slab is the foundation of our building. We want every life that walks through those doors to be touched by Jesus. We want to see hearts changed and souls gained for the Kingdom; this is our cry. Our foundation has to be strong. Our foundation has to be secure. Our foundation has to be solid.
As a church, many of us took to the slab writing verses, messages and prayers for all that God WILL do in this church! Our foundation is sealed with truth. Our foundation is sealed with promise. The foundation of Redemption Point Alliance Church is sealed with Jesus Christ and we won’t be shaken.
As we move closer to our re-grand opening, we cannot help but stand in awe of all that has been done. We are grateful for the pillars of this church who have been in trenches every step of the way. We are grateful for the many new folks that have made Redemption Point their church home and family. We are grateful for the lives that are being transformed through the Gospel here at this church and those lives that will be transfored. As a body we celebrate and rejoice and, we stand with arms wide and heart abandoned for one purpose!
